VACANCY: Batavierenrace Committee & Runners wanted!

Are you a runner? Then the NSSR is looking for you! The Batavierenrace is the largest relay race in the world, in which participants run annually from Nijmegen to Enschede.


The 51st edition of the Batavierenrace will start on Friday evening, April 28, 2023. The route start from the center of Nijmegen, via Germany, to the quiet Backcorner (Achterhoek) and finally to the Old Market (Oude Markt) in the heart of Enschede to the campus of the University of Twente.


The total walking distance is more than 175 kilometers and is divided into 25 stages (16 men's and 9 women's stages).

Approximately 8,500 athletes participate each year, all students; to this huge number of participants owes the Batavierenrace

her entry in the Guinness Book of Records for years. In short, an annual mammoth event with a unique character: a mixture of top sport and toiling recreation!


Batavierenparty

Followed by the Batavierenparty! After the finish of the Batavierenrace around 6PM, the largest annual student party in the Benelux follows on the campus of University of Twente in Enschede. An estimated 13,000 students go crazy at different locations on campus!


The 51st Batavierenrace will be held on 28 and 29 April 2023.
